Causes of crime to Hurt another person in India

Most cases of hurt in India stemmed from voluntarily causing simple hurt, which rose steadily from 2.9 lakh to 3.25 lakh incidents, making it as the dominant contributor.
Hurt caused by dangerous weapons or means also remained high, increasing from 1.73 lakh to 1.80 lakh cases.
Grievous hurt, both general and weapon-related also is significant in India.
Cases involving public servants, acts endangering life or safety, and acid attacks were comparatively fewer but persistent. Worthy to note is acid attack cases although severe offense are very few in number.
Overall, we see a consistent rise in physical assault and injury-related crimes, with simple and weapon-related violence being the major drivers behind India’s “hurt” incidents.
